Support that travels with the team
Busy sessions, changing timetables and unfamiliar adults can make joining in difficult. ANCHOR Inclusion® helps permanent and seasonal staff consider what a child may be communicating and how the activity, environment and adult response could support participation.
Notice needs early
A formal diagnosis is not needed to notice that a child is struggling. Work with families to understand what helps, alongside your registration information, individual support arrangements and safety procedures.
Make transitions part of your planning
Moving from energetic play to a quieter activity, arriving at a new club or joining an unfamiliar group can need extra thought. Training supports a shared understanding across colleagues, so agreed support is easier to maintain when staff or activities change.
The aim is more accessible participation and greater staff confidence. Providers remain responsible for safe supervision and decisions about suitability; training cannot guarantee that every placement or session will be successful.
ANCHOR Inclusive Children’s Activity Provider
Six hours of introductory professional development. £55 per person, or £700 for a staff team of up to 20. Dates and delivery format are agreed before booking.
After the participating team completes the programme, the organisation receives ANCHOR Inclusive Children’s Activity Provider certification for three years. The organisation must complete the required training again when the certification expires.
This organisation-level award is separate from individual practitioner certification and does not authorise independent registered ANCHOR practice.
Plan across your provider network
Discuss your activities, team sizes and seasonal timetable. Agree how you will review staff confidence, whether planned support was available and what children and families experienced.
One organisation-level certificate, renewed every three years.
This route recognises the participating club or provider. It is separate from individual practitioner certification and registration.
Book provider training
Agree the participating organisation, staff group and delivery arrangements.
Complete the six-hour programme
The organisation’s participating team completes the required activity-provider training.

The organisation becomes an ANCHOR Inclusive Children’s Activity Provider.
Certification remains valid for three years
The award belongs to the approved organisation and does not place individual staff on the practitioner register.
Complete training again at expiry
The provider must repeat the required training to receive a new three-year certification period.
